km-Scale Global Modelling Summit 2026

Call for Constributions now open until 31 March!

The km-Scale Global Modelling Summit 2026 will take place from 20–24 July 2026 in Hamburg, Germany, bringing together the international community working at the forefront of high-resolution Earth system modelling.

The summit provides a forum to take stock of recent advances in kilometre-scale modelling and to help shape the next phase of development toward fully integrated, exascale-ready Earth system simulations. Topics span process understanding, numerical model development, high-performance computing, data workflows, and the growing role of artificial intelligence.

A central aim of the meeting is to strengthen coordination across ongoing international efforts and to connect modelling developments with observational capabilities and emerging digital twin initiatives.

The Call for Contributions is now open, inviting abstracts (up to 400 words) presenting recent results, new methodologies, and perspectives on future directions in km-scale modelling.

📅 Submission deadline: 31 March 2026
📍 Location: Hamburg, Germany
